PHOTOREALISM
Photorealism is creating a painting, drawing etc which looks like a real life photo. Photo realism can be done in two methods for instance the painting can be created by either projecting the photo onto the canvas to trace etc or using the grid method. The grid method is basically done the same way pixels are done. Each square are individually filled but overall the image will be completed and usaually look bigger but realistic enough to be direct images of the original photograph.

CELL SHADING
Cell shading usually starts with a 3D model which is the black kettle on the left. It is then filled in with a basic colour and then finally some of the model is shaded in for instance the part of the model with a shadow will be a darker colour than the highlighted part of the model, you can see by the right kettle in the example picture. Cell shading is usually made to make 3D models look more flat, cell shading is popular within comic books because the image is basic and cartoon.

ABSTRACTION
Abstraction is a image made up of random shapes and colours but can still sometimes be seen as a image. For example in the image to the right the image is made up of different sizes of shapes and many different colours but yet its still recognizable as a street with street lamps while some abstract images could be made up of shapes and colours and not show any image. So basically instead of drawing traditional shapes for a drawing e.g drawing a cup for a image of a cup. Instead there will be many different shapes which will overall be seen as cup.

Exaggeration is showing something much more excessive, this might be done to show opinion, strong feelings or to create a strong Impression while some artists prefer the look of a exaggerating art. Exaggeration art is basically creating something which is a lot more dramatic. For example the artist who drew the image to the right has exaggerated on the faces features like giving them a much more bigger nose, ears, a longer face and bigger lips. Doing this can create a cartoon, humor look although it can also be quite tensed and dramatic.Links:
